2017 FIFA U-20 WC: Senegal loses 1-0 to US, may still qualify for next round

Incheon, South Korea (PANA) - Although they lost 1-0 on Thursday to the United States in a Day 2, Group F match here, Senegal can still qualify for the Round of 16 of the 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, depending on the result of their Day 3 match against Ecuador on Sunday.

Despite Thursday's result, the Africans are in second place in the group table with 3 points, earned from a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia on 22 May.

Their conquerors, United States, lead the table with just 4 points, while the Saudis also have 3 points. Qualification from this group is still wide open for all the four teams, including Ecuador with just 1 point from two matches.
