2017 FIFA U-17 WC: Paraguay whip New Zealand 4-2; Colombia overcome India 2-1

Navi Mumbai, India (PANA) - Paraguay recorded their second successive victory at the ongoing 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India when they came from behind to beat New Zealand 4-2 in their Day 2, Group B match played on Monday in Navi Mumbai.

Meanwhile, in New Delhi, hosts India lost their successive match, going down 1-2 to Colombia in their Group A match.

The results mean in Group A have USA leading with 6 points, Colombia have 3, the same as Ghana who are third, while India have nil.

In Group B, Paraguay have 6 points, Mali have 3, New Zealand have 1, the same as Turkey.

The competition continues on Tuesday with Day 2 matches in Groups C and D.

Costa Rica play Guinea and Iran play Germany in Group C while Spain play Niger and DPRK play Brazil in Group D.

In their Day 1 matches, Germany tamed Costa Rica 2-1 and Iran humbled Guinea 3-1 in Group C while Brazil overpowered Spain 2-1 and Niger shot down DPRK 1-0 in Group D.
