2017 FIFA Confed. Cup: Germany beat Mexico 4-1 to reach the finals

Sochi, Russia (PANA) - Germany reached the finals of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia with an easy 4-1 victory over Mexico in the second semi-final match played at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi on Thursday.

Mexico started the match on a shaky note and paid dearly for it when Leon Goreetzka scored the fastest ever brace in the Confederations Cup in the 6th and 8th minutes.

Timo Werner tapped the ball into the net to put the Germans 3-0 after 59 minute before Marco Fabian pulled one back with a great shot in the 89th minute to make it 3-1.

However, the Germans responded quickly when Amin Younes completed a counter attack in the first minute if time added on to seal victory for the Germans.

Germany will play Chile in the finals on Sunday in Saint Petersburg while Portugal and Mexico play for the third place spot.
