2017 FIFA Beach Soccer WC: It's Brazil-Tahiti finals, Iran and Italy vie for 3rd place

Nassau, Bahamas (PANA) - Four-time champions Brazil reached their first final since 2011 after defeating Italy 8-4 on Saturday in the semi-finals of the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas.

Their opponent in Sunday's final match will be Tahiti, runners up against Portugal in the 2015 tournament. In their semi-finals, Tahiti beat Iran 3-2 on penalties after both sides tied 1-1 in regulation time and extra period.

The semi-final losers, Iran and Italy, will meet in the third-place match on Sunday.

On paper, Brazil looks good to win their fifth FIFA World Cup, considering their Beach Soccer experience.

They had won the Beach Soccer World Cup 4 times (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) and 9 times when it called the Beach Soccer World Championship (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2004).
