Kinshasa, DR Congo (PANA) - The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) beat Togo 2-0 Sunday at the Kinshasa Martyrs Stadium, in the second round of group matches in the African qualifying series for the 2014 World Cup.
The goals were scored in the 22nd and 81st minutes by Mputu Trésor and Dieudonné Mbokani respectively.
The Leopards of the DRC were reduced to 10 players since the 39th minute after Albert Milambu Mutamba was sent out.
The Leopards lost 1-0 to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the first round of matches last weekend, while the Sparrows of Togo drew 1-1 against Libya.
