Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - With little time to rest, African teams return to action this weekend as the second round of group matches are scheduled to be played in the qualifying series for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The opening group matches of the African qualifying were played last weekend, with 40 teams in action across the continent.
The teams are campaigning for the 2014 World Cup ticket in 10 groups of four teams each.
The top two in each group will advance to the third and final round of the qualifiers, where they will be divided into five groups of four teams each.
Only the winner of each group will qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals, to be hosted by Brazil.
