2014 FIFA WC: Côte d'Ivoire faces Greece without Zokora, Ya Konan

Fortaleza, Brazil (PANA) - The Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire will play their final Group C match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at Fortaleza, Brazil, without defender Didier Zokora and midfielder, Didier Ya Konan, according to a source close to the Ivorian side.

Zokora collected two yellow cards during the two previous matches against Japan and Colombia and is suspended while Ya Konan is suffering from a knee injury.

Sports analysts say Zokora's absence may prove a big loss for the Ivorian team which will play without its most capped player in this crucial encounter.

Among the many names to replace Zokora, are Kolo Touré, one of the veterans of the side, and Diarrassouba Vieira.

Côte d'Ivoire, which is second in Group C with three points, behind Colombia (4 points), needs a win over Greece (1 point) to get to the knock-out stage.
