Cairo, Egypt (PANA) - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has said that the 2014 Orange CAF Super Cup will now take place on Thursday, 20 February, at the Air Defence Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.
In a media statement, CAF said the changes were made by its Executive Committee based on "organizational reasons".
The one-off match that pits the 2013 Orange CAF Champions League winners, Al Ahly of Egypt against 2013 Orange CAF Confederation Cup winners, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, was initially scheduled for Saturday, 22 February, at the Cairo International Stadium.
This will be the second meeting between the two clubs after the 2009 edition which Ahly won 2-1 in Cairo.
Ahly is the most successful club in the history of the CAF Super Cup with five titles (2002, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2013) while Sfaxien were runners-up in 2008 and 2009.
