Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - Al Hilal played 1-1 with fellow Sudanese club Al Merreikh while Djoliba FC of Mali recorded the same scoreline against AC Leopards of Congo this weekend, to consolidate their lead after the second round of matches in the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup
Al Hilal leads group A with 4 points from two matches, followed by Al Merreikh with the same number of points but an inferior goal differential.
Another Sudanese club, Al Ahly Shandy, and Interclube of Angola, have no points yet.
In group B, Djoliba is the clear leader with 4 points from two matches.
Wydad Casablanca of Morocco is second on two points from the same number of matches, after playing 1-1 with Malian club Stade Malien.
AC Leopards is third, also on two points, while Stade Malien is last with one point.
At the end of the group phase, only the top two clubs will advance to the semi-finals.
