Dakar, Senegal (PANA) – Two officials from the world football governing body, FIFA, are due in Banjul on Wednesday as guests of the Gambian Football Association (GFA), PANA reports.
According to official sources, Primo Carvalo, head of FIFA Football Associations, and Prosper Abega, senior administrator, are to embark on a two-day working visit which ends on Thursday.
They are expected to hold discussions with Gambian football authorities on a number of issues.
The two FIFA officials will also inspect sports facilities in the West African nation before during the visit.
PANA recalls that the Gambia and FIFA agreed on the setting up of a new “Interim Normalization Committee” which henceforth took charge of the West African nation’s football matters.
The agreement follows the dissolution of the former GFA board by the Gambian government.
