'Int'l donors on HIV/AIDS are abandoning Angola'

Luanda, Angola (PANA) - The chairperson of HIV/AIDS Network in Angola (ANASO), António Coelho, on Friday raised the alarm that donors working with the Angolan government are abandoning the country, PANA reported, quoting the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP).

Coelho said that the main donors who had helped the government and some NGOs with logistics and medicines, especially in rural communities, were no longer coming up.

According to Coelho, the development had stalled the implementation of ANASO HIV/AIDS programmes such as campaigns in the rural communities.
